The heart of Tuscany: Where We Are!
In Palaia, a beautiful walled medieval town in the province
of Pisa. At 45 min. from Pisa, Florence, Volterra, San
Gimignano. One hour from Lucca, Siena and the Chianti.
One and half hour from Cinque Terre, Montalcino, Montepulciano,
Pienza.
The landscape is gorgeous, nature is pure and the small
medieval villages, located on top of a hill, are still
full of fascination, with their several cafès,
a baker, a butcher, a small grocery, few restaurants,
and an open market, at least once a week.
From there, the beautiful Tuscan panorama: rolling hills,
with their profiles marked by the dark shade of the cypresses.
The house, called Podere il Poggione is nestled on top
of a hill, surrounded by cypress and olive trees.
Four bedrooms and a suite, all with enclosed bathroom,
each one with it's own character and beautiful furnitures
handed down from generation to generation.
Everything combines to create a
cosy athmosphere to make you feel completely home!
The beautiful garden invites you to eat
"al fresco", to take a nap under the fragrant
shade of the wistaria tree. The pool is the ideal place
to relax and enjoy the 360° panorama.

Some people are just passing through and the house provides
a tranquil stopping point between art cities. But there
is always time to have a chat, to try our traditional organic food,
to taste a good glass of Chianti wine, to wake up with
the smell of the coffee and of the home baked bread.
For others a visit here becomes a voyage of discovery,
an opportunity to learn about the culture,
traditions, art and people of Tuscany.
Never more that 12 people will be in the house at the
same time.
Quality is a world that requires
time and attentions!
Our Activities:
Whether for a week or few days, by yourself or with
your family and children, all are welcome here. For
everybody the possibility to choose some activities
that we offer here at Tasty Tuscany: learn how to cook
our traditional family food with Pat or join Paolo's
group on excursion, visit a pecorino cheese producer,
artistists on their workshop, take a walk on the ridge
of the rolling hills, along the ancient pilgrim paths,
go bird watching at the Massaciuccoli Lake, or horse
backride in San Rossore National Pine Forest Park along
the beach, have a massage with the relaxing Mediterranean
herb's oil.
Weekly or long weekend packages are already set, but
asking Pat's help you can have your tailored holiday!
